How I organize my coupons:
Everyone has their own way of organizing.
This is the way that works best for me.
I use a file crate with hanging file folders. I have the folders tagged and labeled in alphabetical order. I do not clip most of my coupons*, instead I keep the insert together. On the front of the insert with a bold marker I write the date that the inserts came out. I then place a large paper clip on the insert, (the paper clip will come in handy once you start clipping coupons from each insert), as it will help hold the inserts together.
Once I see a good deal and clip the coupons I want to use I place them in a check register file folder, I did use a coupon file folder but I found that many of the coupons that are printed online don’t fit properly so I switched to a check register file folder, it’s just a bit larger and still fits into my purse.
There are a lot of ways to organize your coupons. Play around with it till you find a way that works best for you.
*When I say I do not clip most of my coupons: The coupons I clip are food items since I can only use a few of those (My husband has celiac disease and we are a gluten-free household). I put the food coupons that are for items that are gluten-free into my coupon holder (check register that I carry with me) under the tap Gluten-Free . The food coupons that I can not use I send to my Mom. If you have no food restrictions, allergies or sensitivities I would suggest not clipping any of your coupons until you are ready to use them.
